This vehicle was standard Sd.Kfz.10 mounted with special rear superstructure with folding sides to allow full traverse for 20mm Flak 30/38 L/112.5 gun. This vehiclewas one of the first air-defence vehicles in use by Germans. In July of 1939, first 370 Sd.Kfz.10/4 were produced and in 1940, additional 1225 vehicles were produced. From October of 1940 to March of 1942, production continued at the rate of 20 to 25 vehicles a month. In 1941, 20mm Flak 30 gun of Sd.Kfz.10/4 was replaced with newer 20mm Flak 38 gun and the vehicle was redesignated as Sd.Kfz.10/5. Last 962 Sd.Kfz.10/5 were produced from 1943 to November of 1944 by Mechanische Werke in Cottbus. Early vehicles (Sd.Kfz.10/4) were unarmored but later models (Sd.Kfz.10/5)were mounted with armoreddriver’s cab (made of thin 8mm plates) and shield for the gun. In addition to the ammunition carried by the vehicle, some vehicles towed single axle trailer. Both vehicles were issued to Flak units of Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht. Specifications
