V-2 Control Post Vehicle

Sd.Kfz.7/9 also known as Feuerleitpanzerfahrzeug für V-2 Raketen auf Zugkraftwagen 8t (or as V-2 Befehlswagen) was a control post vehicles for V-2 rocket launching units. The rear of the vehicle was mounted with armoured superstructure to house the guidance and radio equipment and to protect the crew from the blast and explosion. The vehicle also towed the mobile fire platform used to launch the rocket (Bodenplatte).  Small number of Sd.Kfz.7 was converted in 1943 and 1944.  Some were used at Penemuende during test launches.
