Front - Mantlet

This particular Jagdpanther was build by the MNH in Hannover in March of 1945. It was in service with an unknown unit on the Western Front in the last days of the war. It was knocked out in April of 1945 and on the photographs visible is the place where an anti-tank gun projectile penetrated the front armour plate below the main gun. Little hole left by the projectile is visible on the front view photo. British troops captured the destroyed tank in April of 1945 and took it back to England. The Panzertruppenschule Munster received this Jagdpanther in July of 1961 as a present from the British Army. It was then restored by soldiers of the Panzertruppenschule Munster.
